The product shown is a skid-plate for the DL650. The main part consists of an aluminum plate while the side covers are made from high-quality non-flammable polycarbonate plastic. It is designed to protect the lower parts of the motorcycle, especially the oil filter and cooler from curbs, stones and other road debris. This skid-plate is designed to provide critical protection while at the same time remaining lightweight and elegant. It is also designed to provide sufficient air flow to the oil cooler and only affect ground clearance to a minimum degree. You do not need to remove it to change the oil. It is NOT designed for off-road use or lifting the motorcycle. Mounting requires the use of crash-bars by one of the following companies, so please indicate the proper type when ordering.
We do not sell crash-bars. You need to have your own crash-bars before ordering.

If you have GIVI bars, please check that the mounting point is pointing downwards. An early design of these bars had the mounting point upwards. This was a problematic design by GIVI and was discontinued. Please do not order the skid-plate if your bars' mounting point is pointing upwards.
